Happy International LABOUR DAY 2021

Image
The International Labour Day which is also known as May Day is observed across the world on May 1 every year. The day is celebrated to recognise the hard work of the labour class. The day commemorates the labour movement demanding the reduced working hours at eight and paid leaves.  History of International Labour Day: Labour Day first originated in the United States in 1886 at the peak of industrialisation when the industrialists used to exploit the labour class and made them work for 15 hours a day. The workers rose up against this exploitation. Although the history is different for different countries, but the main reason behind this day is the same which is unfair behaviour towards the labour class. There were many movements against this in different parts of the world. Hence, a special day is dedicated to the labour class to appreciate their contribution to the society.
