In 2017, Bangladesh sent two female combat pilots to the UN mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) –  Flight Lieutenant Nayma Haque and Flight Lieutenant Tamanna-E-Lutfi,  Bangladesh’s first two female military helicopter pilots. https://www.un.org/en/events/peacekeepersday/index2018.shtml It’s an opportunity to honor the thousands of Bangladeshis, who have for more than 30-years, helped maintain global peace.  We applaud Bangladesh for the sacrifices it has made in being one of the world’s top contributors to UN peacekeeping operations.
