Introducing Essential Oils and How they may be used as a natural alternative for anxiety, depression and to relieve stress:
Depression and anxiety can manifest itself in many different ways, and each oil works in slightly different way. What works for one person may not work at all for the next. The important thing is you needs may change day to day and experiment and find what works for you.
Essential oils do not cure depression. What they do have the ability to do is help restore a sense of balance and offer support while you are working through the process of emotional healing. Essential oils can, however, be used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional treatments, such as behavioral therapy and antidepressants.
Essential oils may also help lessen symptoms of anxiety, which are common in people with depression. It is estimated that around 43 percent of people with anxiety and stress use some form of alternative therapy to help reduce symptoms.
Certain essential oils may relieve some of psychological and physical symptoms linked with depression. Some research has shown that using essential oils may improve sleep, enhance mood, and improve a person's quality of life.
As with all forms of alternative therapy, essential oils should be used with caution. Always discuss the use of essential oils with a doctor or an aromatherapist.
Almost everyone likes bergamot's fresh, and lively but gentle, flowery fragrance. Its sedative and yet uplifting characteristics make it an ideal oil to use in an oil burner,bath or massage for anxiety, depression and nervous tension.
Its cooling and refreshing quality seems to soothe anger and frustration probably by decreasing the action on the sympathetic nervous system.
For the woman who does not allow herself to live, who hides her femininity, dresses drably, and does not care what she looks like. She lacks self confidence, may be extremely frustrated, she appears nervous, depressed and tense.

Be sure to pay attention to cautions for each essential oil and application method. It is very important to dilute the oils properly, consider your individual reactions, and watch closely for adverse effects.
